Kawasaki Ninja 250R

Kawasaki Heavy industry in a press statement on said, it is planning to manufacture 150cc and above sports motorcycles in India, in collaboration with its technical partner in India, Bajaj Auto.

Bajaj Auto had earlier this year at Auto Expo 2008 in Delhi, showed of motorcycles from Kawasaki which it plans to launch in India. One of the motorcycles that is expected to be launched initially in India is the Kawasaki Ninja 250 with a 250cc twin cylinder and 30bhp engine.

With this bike coming into the Indian market it is gonna make it a huge success and a break through for the Bajaj Company. With the old Eliminator, it had also taken the market of the bikes for a ride of its own, while forcing the Yamaha company to launch a similar cruiser bike but with only 150cc engine, which did not do well, as it was launched to give a tough competition to the Bajaj Kawasaki Eliminator but had failed big time. With this present year 2008, the Bajaj Kawasaki Eliminator is still being used by the Indian people and if you ask them as to how is the bike? They would answer without a doubt, a wonderful bike, just because of its Japanese Engine it does not have any problems even after 7 long years.

With its 250cc engine it has to take the market of its own, with only one competitor in this segment, that is the Kinetic Comet, which did not do well due to its pricing and the bad reputation of the company and many other factors.
I guess all the Indian Bikers would be desperately waiting for this bike to be launched as soon as possible.
And according to the sources the bike is quoted around Rs.1,45,000*(may vary, an approx. figure)
